Directed by Dorothy Mallam, Grasse River Players present THE NEW YORK IDEA, adapted by David Auburn from the original by Langdon Mitchell, Thurs., Feb.9, Fri., Feb.10 and Sat., Feb. 11, at 7:30PM in Gulick Theatre, SLU, Canton, for its Winterfest celebration. Open seating. Tickets are $8.00 each and available at the box office the night of the, performance or advance tickets may be purchased at The Pear Tree in Canton.

Spring into Theatre!

Grasse River Players proudly present their pilot program of Theatre Education Workshops for teens and adults to encourage the development of a more active performing arts community in our area. Elaine Kuracina will present the first workshop "Characterization- Tips and Costume Makeup" on April 30th at 1 p.m. and Kathy Burns will present "Costuming on a Budget” on May 7th at 10 a.m.. Both hour long workshops are being held at the Potsdam Public Library and admission is free.

Time to begin making plans for a gala week end during Winterfest and see Grasse River Players production of POSTMORTEM by Ken Ludwig, directed by Dorothy Mallam. Save one of these dates, Thurs., Feb.17, Fri., Feb. 18 and Sat., Feb 19, 7:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church on the Park,Canton, for an evening of mystery, suspense, melodrama, murder, séances and a surprise ending. This promises to be a “bang-up” evening that will have you on the edge of your chair when you are not jumping out of it.

We are looking for people experienced in the Theatre with directing, stage management, technical management and various other aspects putting together a production to help us educate youth in the many facets of the theatre. We are hoping to get these workshops up and running by the Spring of 2011.

If you are interested in teaching workshops, please contact me ASAP so we can arrange a time period that will work for everyone involved.
